Scarborough Sixth Form College is a great place to study; ask the students. In November 2008 Ofsted did just that and the students were very positive about the support and encouragement given by their teachers and tutors. They strongly believe that S6C is an excellent stepping stone from school and value the different and more independent atmosphere. We agree with them!

Our vision is to serve the community by delivering outstanding educational success and developing the social and personal skills of all of our students. We believe we are pretty good at delivering this by being a supportive and friendly College that places a high priority on the individual development of all of our students. We have over a thousand full-time 16-19 students mostly doing Level 3 courses (mainly A levels, some BTEC) with some taking Level 2 (GCSE and BTEC First Certificate) courses first before moving on to Level 3 courses. We also have an outstanding adult Lifelong Learning provision. Our examination results for 2009 are available here.
